Thara Nutrition ("we", "our", or "us") operates the TharaGenix mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our App.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Phone Number: Used for account registration and OTP-based authentication.
- Name and Profile Information: Used to create and manage your user profile.
- Professional Details: Role (Doctor, AI Practitioner, Admin), qualifications, and practice information.
- Farmer and Animal Data: Information about farmers, their livestock, artificial insemination records, treatments, and inventory that you enter into the App as part of your professional work.
- Photos: Images uploaded for animal records or profile pictures.
- Email Address: Provided during registration and used to identify your account and contact you about it.
- Contacts: If you tap the contact-picker button while registering or adding a farmer, we read the name and phone number of the single contact you select so we can fill in that farmer's mobile or WhatsApp number. That number is then saved to your farmer records on our servers. We never read, upload, or store your full contact list, and the App works normally if you decline this permission and type the number by hand.
- Device Information: Device token for push notifications.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the App's functionality.
- To authenticate your identity via OTP verification.
- To send push notifications for reminders (e.g., calving dates, follow-ups).
- To manage livestock records, AI records, treatments, and inventory.
- To generate reports and statistics for veterinary practice management.
- To fill in a farmer's phone number from a contact you choose, when you use the contact-picker button.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure cloud servers (Amazon Web Services). We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:
- JWT-based authentication tokens.
- Secure database storage with access controls.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties, except:
- With your consent.
- To comply with legal obligations.
- With service providers who assist in operating our App (e.g., cloud hosting, SMS gateway for OTP), under strict confidentiality agreements.
5. Third-Party Services
Our App uses the following third-party services:
- Firebase Cloud Messaging: For push notifications.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS): For data storage and hosting.
- SMS Gateway: For OTP delivery during authentication.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
8. Children's Privacy
Our App is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
